We coordinate morning walk and activity groups on the Gold Coast. We are the entity responsible for your personal information (APP 1).

2. What we collect

  • Identity and contact details (name, email, phone if provided)
  • Enquiry and booking details (preferred sessions, accessibility notes you choose to share)
  • Payment references for paid sessions (processed via our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers)
  • Technical data when you use our website (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) where permitted
  • Cookie and marketing preferences (see Cookies Policy)

3. Why we collect information

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for:

  • responding to enquiries and coordinating walks you request
  • providing route sheets, safety information, and schedule updates
  • processing payments and issuing receipts
  • complying with legal obligations (tax, safety, and record-keeping)
  • improving our website where you have consented to analytics
  • sending walk reminders only where you have opted in (Spam Act 2003)

4. Direct marketing

We will not send marketing emails or SMS without your consent. Every message includes a simple way to opt out. You may unsubscribe at any time without affecting your ability to join walks.

5. Disclosure to third parties

We may share information with service providers who assist us (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) under contracts requiring them to handle data securely. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect safety.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some providers may store data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle information in line with the APPs, or we obtain your consent where required.

7. Security and retention

We use HTTPS, access controls, and staff training. Enquiry records are kept up to 24 months after last contact unless a longer period is required by law. Walk participation records are kept for the participation period plus 12 months. We securely destroy or de-identify information when no longer needed.

8. Notifiable data breaches

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Your rights

You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable period (usually 30 days). If we refuse a request, we will explain why and how you can complain.

11. Children
